Thanksgiving CVS shop - Saved $102.62 -
This morning my husband and I were at CVS by 7 am. We were the first ones in the store for the sale!!! My store had a special display for most all of the free items, shopping was so easy!!!! We each used our own cards. All together we spent $25 oop, saved $102.62 and got back $52.46 in ecb to use by Christmas!!!!! I think we had had $18 ecb to start. I forgot to tell my husband to check his email for the $5 off $25 coupon and we only used 2 listerene coupons so we could have saved another $6.00 and I didn't have any coupons for the candy or the xtra. We could have saved some out of pocket money by doing more transactions but we hate doing that. I did two transactions and Robert did 3. For all the coupon matchups I used simplycvs.

Publix 11/18 Big shopping trip
Today I did a lot of shopping at Publix! I got $187.60 worth of groceries for $75.19. A saving of 60%. Not the greatest savings but considering what I bought I think I did great! I used 50 coupons today :)
This trip probably puts me over my monthly budget by about $50. Still not bad since I bought everything for Thanksgiving dinner and even some for Christmas dinner and holiday baking this month. I will just have to watch what I buy next month.
Here is how I did it:
2 Green Giant broccoli steamers $2.39 ea., both free using the target coupon from yesterdays paper when you spent $25.
1 Publix pumpkin pie, raincheck for $3.00, used $1.00 PQ= $2.00
4 Cascadian farms fruit, used 4 $1 Pq and 4 $1 IP = $1.74 each (half price)
2 oscar mayar pepperoni , used $1/2 tearpad = $2.39 each

4 nestle cookies, bogo $2.79, used 4 - .75 cent IP = .63 cents each
2 pillsbury pizza crust, $1.67 ea, used .40/2 mq = $1.47 ea. I am going to try and make pepperoni bread. Will post on a later date about this.
2 planters cashews (to feed my husbands nut addition!) bogo $4.29, used $1 mq and .75 tq = $1.27 ea.

We talked about this before starting and she said if the customer insist they will do that. I did NOT insist and I took back 2 other mq that I had but I forgot about the IP's)
4 Crisco canola oil, bogo $3.85, used 4- .55 mq = $1.37 each (we usually use peanut oil to fry our turkey but this year will try the canola because it was so cheap)

Thursday morning shopping
Today I made a bunch of different stops while out grocery shopping.
First I went to Winn Dixie
This weeks deal was if you buy the Charmin you get the lysol, tissues, zest and clorox wipes free. I use all that stuff so I thought it was a good deal for me. Most weeks I don't buy the deal because its just junk food! The lettuce was bogo $1.69. The only coupon I used was for the right guard deodorant. It was bogo and I had a bogo coupon, making them both free! These will be donated since my hubby likes old spice deodorant. I spent$15.87 and saved $19.33.
Next stop..Publix
Yes that's right...I bought 6 turkeys! They were only .59 cents a pound! I love turkey, so every month for the next six months I will eat one! LOL. They only weigh about 10 pounds each, so that will be perfect for the two of us. Dinner one night and then turkey soup and sandwiches for lunch the rest of the week. I might go back and see if they have a bigger one later in the week for Thanksgiving. Today all they had was 10 lbs or 20 lbs. I need one about 15 lbs. or maybe I will buy a butterball. Total cost for all 6 was only $36 and as you can see I have a huge chest freezer to put them in. Here is what else I purchased:
I forgot to write down my coupons that I used :(
I know I had $5/$50 publix coupon and a coupon for everything else purchased! I spent $60 including the turkeys for a savings of $84.59 or 58%
For all the coupon match ups check out Iheartpublix.com
The tape was $2.19 bogo and I had a $1/3 IP = .85 cents each
yellow rice bogo $1.29 and had 4 .50 mq = .15 cents each
Dip was $2.00 bogo and I had 2 IP for .50 = .50 cents.
Chocolate chips $2.55 bogo,used 2 $1/2 IP = .78 cents each
angel soft $5.49, used $1 IP
sweet potato fries 2/5 used 2 $1 IP making them only $1.50 each
activia not on sale, used 2 $1 IP making them $1.39 each
mushroom soup 4/5 used mq?
stove top .99cents, used $1/2 IP = .66 cents each
frenchs onions $2.99, used mq ?
Not pictured was a 5 lb. bag of flour
I also bought 2 lbs of butter at walgreens for $1.99 each
Last stop was to the produce stand where I spent $4.90. No coupons needed!

2nd Publix trip Spent only .61 cents Saved 98%
I had to go to the dentist yesterday so I knew I would be driving by another Publix this week. This store takes target coupons so I saved some of the deals for this store.
I paid only .61 cents for all of this! I saved $34.70 or 98%.
Here is what I got and the coupons used:
I am happy to finally find some garden delight pasta on the shelves. I had two bogo rain checks for two deals each and 7 $1.00 off blinkie coupons, making it a .16 cent money maker.
The smart balance was only .59cents after a $2.00 mq and $1 pq.
Country crock was .35 cents after bogo and a $1.00 target coupon.
Vitamin D was $2.02 money maker after 2 $1.00mq and $6.00pq.
Both toaster strudels were free after bogo and free mq. ( I know, I know more junk food but come on ...its Boston cream pie flavor! lol. All I could think of when seeing these was an eclair and I was hungry !)
Muir glen tomato sauce was a .22 money maker after pq and whole foods q.
Lettuce was .69 cents after $1 target produce coupon.
Rubbermaid containers just .76 cents after 40%off sale and $1mq. These were a small mm on Thursday but the coupon from the green flyer expired. I paid .28 cents tax.

8 dental floss, 5 toothbrushes, 3 nivea lip moisturizers, 3 corn muffin mix, baking powder and corn starch.
I had been saving up my reach dental floss coupons, I use a ton of that stuff!

Publix trip 11/4 Saved 79%
I keep telling myself to stop shopping but the deals are just to good to pass up! This week I purchased $131 worth for only $28! I used a ton of coupons, for all the match ups I used Iheartpublix and addictedtosaving. I saved $38.43 in vendor coupons, $12 in publix coupons and $52.66 in sale prices.
I will be donating the os-cal and vivarin, they were both money makers! I am also hoping to donate some of the toaster strudels, they were all FREE. The cookie mix was only .10 cents a box so I will save those for the holidays. I purchased the large rubbermaid containers to put the cookies in. They were suppose to be on sale but the larger ones didn't ring up sale price, I will have to take my receipt back for a refund. They are 40% off and I had a publix coupon and a manufacturer coupon. The smaller size was a .09 cent money maker. The gingerbread graham crackers was an impulse buy but at least they were on sale bogo and I had a mq. They sounded really good :)
Here are some of the prices that I paid after coupons: Hood milk was only .80 cents each, chicken broth .50 cents, steam veggies .95 cents, fiesta grilln beans .67 cents, soup .90 cents, coffee mate .50 cents, bread sticks .79, dip n sticks $1.09, canned veggies .38, yogurt $1.38.

This is what I purchased this week at CVS on 11/1. I wasn't going to shop at the drug stores this week but I got talked into it by my blogging buddy Cheryl over at Simply CVS! (lol, just joking Cheryl).
I used two different CVS cards and did two transactions.
Transaction #1: I purchased the Olay body wash and Secret.
I used $5.00 mq and $1.00 extra buck for a total of $3.09 oop.
I received a $3.00 extra care coupon for any Revlon cosmetic and $3.00 extra bucks!
Transaction #2: I purchased the Olay, Secret and two Oral B battery toothbrushes.
I used $5.00 mq, 2 $3.00 mq, $6.98 in extra bucks for a total of $1.79 oop.
I received $7.00 in extra bucks
Over all it was a great trip. I spent $4.88 and got $10 in extra bucks
What did you get this week?

Publix trip #2 10/31
I made another trip to Publix over the weekend. Since there were no great deals at the drug stores this week I decided to spend my money at the grocery store. Robert had to run to Walmart so I decided to ride with him. I do not like Walmart so I had him drop me off at Publix which is just around the corner. I forgot the dog food on my first trip (on sale for $9.99 and had a $2 mq) and wanted to use my $3.00 off the fried chicken family combo meal coupon that was expiring. I got that a few weeks ago when we attended the Bucs vs Saints football game. GO Saints!!! We love fried chicken so for only $7.59 we got enough for lunch on Sunday and Monday!
I wanted to pick up some more of the great freebies but didn't have much luck. The garden delight pasta was sold out but I did pick up a rain check and found some more blinkies for $1.00 off! I bought 2 more cascadian farms granola bars but they didn't have the peelies on them so I paid $1 a box instead of free, 2 more Quaker true delights but only one had a peelie so I paid .90 each. Have I told you how much I LOVE granola bars? This week I was able to replenish my stockpile, I was almost out!
I bought 4 oscar mayer carving board meats. I had a lot of different coupons for those....Publix, Target, Manufacturer so I only paid $1.25 each. I have never tried the carving board before. It is sliced thick. I am thinking we could use it for dinner some night, just heat up and serve with some mashed potatoes and veggies.
I found 2 more friskies coupons in my coupon box so I picked up two more bags of cat food for $1 each. Robert wanted a jar of pickled okra, that was not on sale but I found a .75 cent coupon.
Over all I saved 56%. Not to bad considering what I purchased :)
