Since the new year I have been trying to eat a little healthier by not buying so many snacks and pre packaged food. I have been doing pretty good, still lots of room for improvement. Today was so hard not to buy the knorr sides, bogo, they are my favorite! I had to walk right on by them with blinders on :)
I had the $5/30 Winn Dixie coupon again today, so I splurged and bought some shrimp! Its going to taste so good with the free little red potatoes from last weeks sale and corn on the cob in a cajun shrimp boil!

great deal. would you like to share your cajun shrimp boil recipe? i have been looking for one. (=
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a recipe. I just get a big pot, filled about half way with water. add a bag of shrimp/crab boil mix (I think Old Bay makes it)and a few dashes of red pepper. get that boiling and throw in some small red potatoes whole. cook until tender and then throw in the small frozen ears of corn for a few minutes and then add the shrimp for a couple of minutes. Some times we might throw in some lemons. I have even had it with cauliflower added. Its really easy!
ReplyDeleteThanks i might have to try that. the potatoes must taste wonderful!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the head of garlic. The garlic softens and then you use it and the leftover potatoes to make garlic mashed potatoes. Its ever so good.
